As we’re nearing the end of the membership year, it’s a good idea to look forward to the future and so we’re going to offer some training and advice on Long-Term Planning as it applies to your Post, District, or Department. We’ll go over the differences between short- and long-term planning, establishing realistic goals, and how to anticipate and work through challenges.

Over the past two decades, suicide rates have steadily risen in the United States. Suicide is currently ranked 10th for cause of death among all ages. It’s important for you to know that suicide is preventable. With commitment and engagement in our communities, workplaces, and homes, together we can help reduce the number of suicides.

Were you a Military BRAT? Do you have a BRAT in your family? Did you move frequently as your military parent transferred from assignment to assignment? Did you attend multiple schools before you graduated high school? Did you attend a Department of Defense school overseas anytime between 1946 and the present? Did you or a family member work in one of these schools? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the American Overseas Schools Historical Society (AOSHS) will interest you.
Friends of the Fleet Pass can be purchased online or at the museum ticket window. The $69 pass includes annual admission for the pass-holder and a guest.
