The name "Buddy Poppy” was coined to remember comrades who didn’t return from war. Since 1922, these poppies have been assembled by disabled and needy veterans, providing them with financial support. Donations collected during poppy drives help fund veteran rehabilitation programs and support services.
They’re most commonly seen around Memorial Day and Veterans Day, worn as a tribute to those who served.
